The responsibilities of a Production Tech are dynamic and may include but are not limited to activities related to: seed field, seed production plant, harvest, receiving, conditioning, treater operation, packaging, warehousing, returns/rework, and shipping, some general repair and maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
Harvest activities such as, green corn/sheller/dryer and sorting operations.
Conditioning activities such as seed cleaner operation, gravity table operation, packaging line operator, box fill line operator, bulk storage operator.
Safely operate equipment with the use of a PLC computer automation software program.
Entering data including: testing results, downtime, quality concerns via SAP/R3 and HMI programs.
Treating activities include PLC based computer program treater operation, bagging, palletizing, sampling, and equipment clean down.
Warehouse activities may include: Box Wash Operations, Box Repair, Operating the floor sweeper and/or safe operation of fork lift
Intake/Receiving of raw seed
Compliance with Quality and Safety requirements including developing and reviewing procedures.
Qualifications
You have your High School Diploma/GED OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within 1 year of hire as a condition of employment.
2-Year Agricultural diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
