Contribute to the development of analytics strategy & architecture in partnering with tech leads and R&D control tower owners. Thinking forward to design for the future (2-3 years+) technology and analytical needs of the group in addition to those of today.
Own the delivery of the fit for purpose architecture and processes supporting DDAP - Analytics vision.
Develop solution blueprint and architecture specification for evolving business processes in PPM.
Develop structured partnership with analytics consumers, analytics managers, tech leads and R&D control towers to bring alignment across analytics development process and consistency in reporting.
Building technology-based solutions which are optimised to workflows. Analyse and codify the analytical requirements; identify and analyse alternative solutions and develop project charters. Run experts design forum to drive key decisions related to analytics systems and processes.
Work closely with stakeholders in an agile environment to ensure successful and timely delivery of product releases, including prioritization, sprint planning, and backlog management through negotiation and agreement.
Designs user centric dashboards to enable analytics to be available at the point of decision.
Directly performs ad hoc analysis; as required, for the PPM personas, including, but not limited to descriptive & predictive analytics.
Designs, builds, and operates data tools, services, workflows, etc that deliver high value through the solution to key business problems by leveraging modern data engineering & analytics tools.
Produces well-engineered analytics solutions including appropriate automated test suites, technical documentation, and operational strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Life Science, Software Engineering, Maths, Bioinformatics or related discipline
Experience in Pharma R&D
10+ years of experience with Data Analytics with cloud infrastructure product development or management.
Experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Databricks – Azure data platform). with ETL processes and Data warehousing. Azure data pipeline development and management
Proficiency in using Power BI Desktop for creating data models, reports, and dashboards.
Knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and cleansing.
Familiarity with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables."
Data Modelling
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalization.
Ability to design efficient and scalable data models for optimal performance.
Experience in creating relationships between tables and defining hierarchies."
Deep knowledge of modern analytics development tools / ways of working (e.g. git/GitHub, Docker, DevOps tools, metrics / monitoring, CI/CD…)
Familiar with metadata management and data governance concept
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven development decisions.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership abilities and a self-driven, proactive approach. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Experience in Spotfire, Python, databricks and data science modelling is plus
